Hi my readers? Today I was asking myself about blinking rates among men and women, Is there any rates differences? Most people claims that women blink rate is higher than men and others claims differently. Is there any physiological differences among men and women that may brought such phenomenon?. The following explanations might give us an answer, they are from various sources with difference ideas and thoughts about this matter. Lets first understand what does blinking mean and how does it function.
Blinking refer to semi-automatic quick closing of the eyelid. One blink refer to a strong closing of the eyelid or end of the levator palpebrae superioris and triggering of the palpebral part of the orbicularis oculi, but not complete open and close. This bodily function (blinking) helps protecting the surface of the cornea by dispersing tears (lubrication) and wiping irritants away from cornea surface and conjunctiva. The speed of blinking varies according to condition such as medication, fatigue, eye injury and some diseases and sometimes can be influenced by exterior stimulus.
FACTS ON BLINKING RATES AMONG MEN AND WOMEN
There is no scientific evidence that support this claim (‘women blink more often than men’), it is just people views some says most women use makeup and eventually some goes into eyes and let them to blink. Others claim that women have shy, this also let them to blink more often. I you want to try this research, you’ll find that women blink more often than men.
Occasionally, some women blink their eyes more depending on their environment; for example a woman wants to tell something in detail, can increase her blinking rate. Also if a person tries to concentrate on something can automatically stop blinking, therefore the blinking rates among men and women will depends on an external stimuli.
If you conduct a research about these rates different, you’ll find that women blink more than men, so how? The results depends on an individual within these two groups (men and women), whether you are a man or woman every person have got his own body characteristics. Therefore blinking rates does not depend whether you are a man or women but how anxious (nervous) you are.
People who are anxious blink more often than other whom not, it denote their emotion. The rates of blinking increases even if there are talking with each other, this confirm how nervous they are. Also the rates will depend on people from different categories such as; type of work they are doing, environment they are coming from and other factors.
CONCLUSION
This claim is not supported by any scientific evidence, if you have any findings about this matter that will verify or oppose this claim you are free to share your experience in the comment section below. You are welcome!...see you next time!
