Natural treatments for Peptic Ulcers (VIDONDA VYA TUMBO in Swahili)


Peptic ulcers are open sores or breaks that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper portion of your small intestine or occasionally the lower esophagus. Peptic ulcers includes gastric and duodenal ulcers, Gastric ulcers found in your stomach while Duodenal ulcers found in the first part or upper portion of your small intestine (duodenum) and Esophageal ulcers that occurs inside the esophagus.

Stomach ulcers occur when the thick layer of mucus that protects your stomach from digestive juices is reduced. This allows the digestive acids to eat away at the tissues that line the stomach, causing an ulcer.

CAUSES
1. Infection with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
2. Long-term use of aspirin and certain other painkillers
3. Smoking
4. Drinking too much alcohol
5. Radiation therapy
6. Stomach cancer
7. The pain can often be relieved by eating certain foods that buffer stomach acid or by taking an acid-reducing medication.

SYMPTOMS
The most common peptic ulcer symptom is burning stomach pain.  Stomach acid makes the pain worse, as does having an empty stomach. That burning pain extends from the navel to the chest, which can range from mild to severe. Sometimes the pain may wake you up at night or worse pain between meals and at night. During the early phases of the disease you may not see any symptoms.

SINGS
1. Chest pain
2. Vomiting
3. Bloody or dark stools
4. Unexplained weight loss
5. Nausea
6. Loss of appetite
7. Indigestion
8. Heartburn
9. Fatty food intolerance
10. Feeling of fullness, bloating or belching.

NATURAL TREATMENT
Sometimes the use of Artificial medication may brought disease condition to more worse, because such medicine may have acidic property. In such case Natural treatments from home remedies may reduce the strength of the disease and cure permanently. In order to treat your disease effectively, checkout the following;

1. Honey
Use fresh honey, it has multiple treatment for many kinds of diseases. Honey contains a special enzymes known as 'Glucose Oxidase' which produce Hydrogen peroxide in the stomach. Hydrogen peroxide kills most of bacteria causing peptic ulcers. Also glucose oxidase act as lubricant for preventing the inner lining of the stomach from acid corrosion.

Also  honey can contain up to 200 elements, including polyphenols and other antioxidants. Honey is a powerful antibacterial and has been shown to inhibit H. pylori growth.

How to use?
Use one or two table spoon of honey three times per day for at least one month. Honey strengthen the inner lining of the stomach by preventing and treat ulcers.


2. Garlic
Garlic extract has been shown to inhibit Helicobacter Pylori (H. pylori) growth which cause peptic ulcers. Garlic not only inhibit peptic ulcers bacteria but also kill most of bacteria in the body.

How to use?
Take 5 to 10 garlic cloves, peel their skin then cut those cloves to smaller pieces. Swallow those pieces with two glass of water twice a day for at least three weeks.


3. Ripen Banana
Ripen bananas have the combination of enzymes that inhibit the growth and multiplication ulcers causing bacteria (H. Pylori). Also ripen bananas strengthen the inner lining of the stomach by removing excess acid in the stomach as a result inflammation and wound will be removed and healed.

How to use?
Eat at least three bananas per day.


4. Buttermilk or Yogurt
These milk products have living bacteria and yeast (known as Probiotics) that provide healthy and important microorganisms to your digestive tract. They are present in many common foods, particularly fermented foods.

Studies have shown that living bacteria and yeast (probiotics) from fermented foods may be helpful in wiping out H. pylori and increasing recovery rate for people with ulcers when added to the traditional regimen of antibiotics.


5. Cucumber
Research have shown that cucumber help to treat peptic ulcers if used without peeling its skin. In order to have perfect result make sure you do the following;
a. Follow your eating timetable wisely
b. Eat at least three cocumber per day (Don't peel cucumber skin, consume as it is together with seeds)

You will see perfect results after a month or two.


6. Moringa oleifera Leaves powder (Mlonge in Swahili)
Is an important herbal tree ever found worldwide, it is used in Africa, Asia and other parts of the world as medicial plant. Every parts of the plant including leaves, flower, seeds and roots have medicinal value. It has large amount Vitamin C, Iron minerals (Fe), Protein, Vitamin A and Potassium (K).

How to use?
First you have to prepare Moringa oleifera leaf powder, Take some fresh leaves from the tree then dry them indoor (without sun light) so as to protect medicinal nutrients from destruction.


Leaves will dry enough after a week, it will depend on the surrounding temperature. Take dried leaves and grind them to powder. Use one table spoon of powder by mixing with already prepared food or use as a tea ingredient. Use that powder at every meal. Sometimes you may prepare hot water and mix with one table spoon of moringa leaves powder to a cup of hot water.


Drink one cup three times a day for at least one month, it will depend on how your condition is recovered. You will recover your condition after four weeks or more.
